CMYK and Eureka Bookstores Now Open, Ensure Customer Safety

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Roli Books, one of India’s premier publishing houses, announced on Wednesday that CMYK and Eureka, its subsidiary bookstore is open again. In the official tweet, it ensured that the visitors will have a safe and comfortable environment. The publisher also added they will follow a strict protocol to keep COVID19 at bay.

The Coronavirus Pandemic hit the humankind like nothing in the last 100 years. Sadly, India is among the worst-hit countries, and most of it has been under lockdown since late March. Businesses were forced to shut down, and the publishing industry was among the most impacted. However, the human spirit continues to fight back in the most defiant ways. As soon as the government began lifting restrictions, the industry seems to be picking up quickly.

Eureka’s Revival

Eureka is a children’s bookstore, which was in revival mode before the virus struck. Roli Books acquired the store in January 2020, which was shut down after a decade of existence in 2013. The revival plan was on schedule and Eureka was due for rising up again. Unfortunately, nature intervened, rattling all the plans. And now, as the restrictions are easing down, thankfully, customers can visit the combined CMYK & Eureka bookstore in New Delhi’s M-Block Market. Commenting on the reopening of the store, Priya Kapoor, Editorial Director at Roli Books, tweeted,

“It’s not easy opening a new bookstore during a pandemic! But we did… Pls show us some love. It’s a complete family bookstore – with the best selection of children’s books put together lovingly at Eureka by Swati and Venky + all your favs at CMYK.”

The news comes as a relief for bibliophiles and literature enthusiasts in the capital, as they can finally walk into a brick and mortar bookstore. Thankfully, CMYK is not the only one to re-open. A few days ago, independent India’s most iconic bookstore, Bahrisons inaugurated a new outlet in Delhi, at Ambience Mall.
